Dystopia 987 was a groundbreaking project led by Skepta and Metallic Inc for Manchester International Festival 2019. Expanding on Skepta’s own explorations into rave culture, we helped craft an imagined future world with the help of interactive theatre, augmented reality, innovative lighting, and live performance. Event guests took part in an immersive journey to the heart of a ‘rave in the future’, the climax of which included a live show by Skepta in a breathtaking environment.
